WELCOME

FOR NATIVE WASHINGTONIANS and restaurateurs Ian and Eric Hilton, Crimson is all about Southern comfort, DC-style. Located in the District’s first Pod Hotel, the brothers envisioned it as a place where out-of-towners and locals alike could settle in and feel at home. Richmond, VA’s own Blanchard’s Coffee Company heads up Crimson Coffee, brewing locally-roasted beans and serving homemade pastries to get the work day started.

All-day breakfast and blue-plate specials in Crimson Diner satisfy comfort food cravings at any time of day.

A cocktail at downstairs Crimson Whiskey is the perfect night cap. A plate of oysters with a skyline view at the rooftop Crimson View starts the weekend in style. With Crimson, the Hiltons have created a destination that offers something for everyone.

Washington DC native and chef Lawrence DiJoseph heads up the Crimson kitchen. His menus keep the focus local while paying homage to the District’s southern influences. In the diner, classics like Fried Catfish & Grits are followed up with favorites like Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake (inspired by DC institution Hot Shoppes).

Crimson Whiskey showcases local producers alongside artisanal moonshines from across the South, and the Crimson View menu celebrates the bounty of the region’s waterways. Southern influence can also be felt in the Crimson team’s approach to hospitality. All the spaces that make up Crimson - Coffee, Diner, Whiskey, and View – are all committed to a common goal inspired by that legendary Southern kindness: to provide guests with a home away from home, whether that home is thousands of miles away or just a few blocks.
